The Sixty-Sixth Annual Plantation Tour of plantations and town houses in and near Georgetown will be held March 22 & 23, 2013. The majority of the plantations and town houses are privately owned and graciously shared with the Episcopal Church Women of Prince George, Winyah, Parish once per year. A different group of homes is on tour each day.

As part of the tour of pre-Revolutionary and antebellum churches, town houses and plantations, visitors are invited to the Winyah Indigo Society Hall for tea each afternoon.

Advance tickets are available by mail only beginning on Monday, January 28, 2013 (any order received before that date will be returned).  Advance ticket sales will end on Friday, March 8, 2013.  Due to the time it takes to process the orders and return them by mail, ANY ORDERS POSTMARKED AFTER FRIDAY, MARCH 8, 2013 WILL BE RETURNED.

The Georgetown Business Association (GBA) has been very busy this last year. We are in our second year of the city marketing and advertising campaign and it has been a huge success. Thanks to increased funding we have been able to reach more markets and place more print and television ads in more publications and markets than have ever been reached before. More potential visitors are being told about the wonders of Georgetown and they are coming to see what we have to offer. The good news is we have only just begun! This initiative will only get bigger and better.

The GBA has sponsored the Wooden Boat Show, the Winyah Bay Heritage Festival, the Taste of Georgetown, the Coast Guard Appreciation Reception, the Bridge to Bridge Run, and the 1^st Annual Georgetown Rocks the Equinox Music Festival. The GBA is heavily involved with anything that promotes the City of Georgetown. We will continue to be financially and personally involved with anything that promotes our City.

We are also involved in the inner workings of our City. The officers, board and members of the GBA work closely with City Council and the Chamber of Commerce to ensure that the best interests of Georgetown are being realized. We have become the voice of the merchants and individuals of the City of Georgetown and our voice is being heard.

We have almost doubled our membership in 2012. More merchants, businesses and individuals are realizing the GBA is a force in the City and want to be a part of what we are doing.  You need to be a part of that force. Memberships start at only $100.00 per year, a small price to pay to be a part of what we are doing for the City of Georgetown. Join now and join us to continue to help make Georgetown a destination for more visitors, to bring more new residents and businesses to our city and to make Georgetown what we all want it to be.

To raise funds for the Family Justice Center of Georgetown located at 1530 Highmarket Street bringing together a multidisciplinary team of professionals who provide services to all victims of domestic violence.

One hundred percent (100%) of all revenue collected from the Taste of Georgetown event will support Family Justice Center operations.

Food sample tickets will be sold at three locations along Front Street;

Francis Marion Park, Orange Street and Screven Street

The cost of each food sample ticket is $1. Most food samples will require 2-3 tickets.

Tickets will be $1 each, or 23 tickets for $20.

There will also be a silent auction of items provided by local businesses and individual contributors.
